CloudOps Infrastructure Engineer
What you’ll do:
Support our Tech customers to manage the UK Cloud compliance requirements across a range of critical business controls, leveraging “as code” engineering and automation capabilities to simplify these tasks
Provide continued support, maintenance and development of our core Cloud systems, enhancing our internal Customers’ journeys on their path to Cloud
Enhance our AWS controls and compliance adherence through automation and improved validation and reporting mechanisms
Design, develop and maintain high quality Core Infrastructure services.
Assist with compliance monitoring and reporting tasks
Work collaboratively across teams spanning multiple time zones
What we’re looking for:
Strong office productivity tooling skills (e.g. comfortable creating presentation slides and can analyse, manipulate and visualise data within spreadsheets)
Good communicator and customer focused skills
Self motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and a willingness to share and teach amongst peers
If you have experience in any of the following that would be advantageous;
Previous experience as a Linux or Windows system administrator; building & supporting enterprise computing platforms and systems
Solid understanding of Cloud / Virtual Compute platforms (ideally AWS) and their supporting infrastructure
Solid understanding of High Availability strategies, preferably with Cloud in mind
Familiarity with the concepts of infrastructure as code, test driven development and automated deployment of infrastructure solutions
Strong scripting and automation skills in various languages (such as Python, Groovy, Ruby, BASH, Powershell, etc.)
