About this role
As a Manager in our Cyber Engineering team, you will join a community of talented Cyber Security professionals who are committed to building state of the art solutions for network security. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders spanning across multiple countries to utilise innovation and automation to tackle challenging and complex problems.
What you’ll do
Drive Enterprise-wide Perimeter Protection program objectives, implement systems and define standards and policies to protect Capital One’s Internet facing application
Build secure system solutions to meet restricted perimeter requirements
Work with product and architecture teams to influence/define product strategy, roadmaps. Assess, report on, and make recommendations
Understand business requirements and provide recommendations for building scalable systems to meet Capital One’s functional and non-functional requirements
Support the Restricted Perimeter Engineering team to deliver on day-to-day commitments of the application firewall operations
What we’re looking for
Have experience in deploying and operating cyber network security solutions
Have demonstrated understanding of cloud network security fundamentals
Have experience working with large scale systems in a matrix environment
Excellent ability to deep dive into complex issues and devise appropriate solutions
Understand cloud edge security from both a managerial/strategic level and have hands-on experience in technical design and implementation
This is a permanent position based in our Londonoffice We're currently working fully remote until 7th September after which time we're adopting a flexible hybrid working model - one that creates the opportunity to work in your own way, but also provides great spaces for in-person collaboration. Our core in-the-office days are Tuesday to Thursday, but they aren't mandatory - you’ll be led by your team, the type of work you do and of course your preferences. Many of our team have flexible working patterns so we’re open to discuss flexible working arrangements with you.
