Software Engineering Manager - Mobile


What you’ll do:

  • Lead a cross-functional group of engineers to design, develop and integrate software features that are delightful and vital to the lives of credit card consumers across all walks of life
  • Coach your engineers on how to achieve their technical, business and personal goals
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver features on the product roadmap
  • Build platforms that are performant, reliable, scalable and secure
  • Enhance the engineering and agile delivery processes with the team


What we’re looking for:

  • You have experience in leading an engineering team to achieve business goals.
  • You have excellent knowledge of RESTful API development in a modern OO language such as Java or .Net.
  • You will ideally have commercial knowledge of Swift (iOS) or Kotlin (Android), come from a tech software engineering management background or have an interest in mobile development.  
  • You are excited by the cloud/AWS and the opportunities that it brings.
  • You are comfortable in reaching technical trade-offs between short-term team and long-term business needs.
  • You have a passion for recruiting and developing great engineering talent.
  • You are willing and excited to get into the guts of a completely data-driven, highly regulated industry with a lot of existing complexity.
  • You are a strong communicator and partner well across engineering to maxmise inner-sourcing opportunities and reduce waste.
