When does student and graduate recruitment take place?
Recruitment starts in September (to begin employment the following calendar year).
What does the term “associate” mean at Capital One?
“Associate” refers to both an employee at Capital One, as well as a job level.
I used to work at Capital One as an associate or a contractor. Can I reapply?
In most cases, yes, you can absolutely reapply. Eligibility for future hire is based on your prior employment record, which we’ll review when you submit your application. If you were dismissed for misconduct or due to under performance, or if your most recent Year-End performance rating at the point of leaving was below “Strong”, you’re not eligible for future employment at Capital One. What can I expect from the interview process?
Our interview process is focused on providing you with an opportunity to showcase your skills and capabilities, creating a robust and comprehensive experience. All applicants will complete an online assessment (programming focused for Engineering and Data Science/Data Analyst positions, analytics-focused for Business Analyst/Financial Analyst roles, and general skill-based for our other positions). From there, you can expect an initial phone call with someone from our recruitment team. Should you complete these various stages successfully, you will be invited for an in-person or virtual interview.
What types of interviews do you conduct?
We conduct a combination of behavioural, business case, technical and job fit interviews, as applicable.
How often am I expected to come into the office?
We have a hybrid working model. Associates working in the hybrid model are expected to come into the office 3 days a week from Monday to Thursday. Fridays are company-wide work from home days.
Do you offer any remote roles?
Most of our Customer Operations associates are primarily remote and any role that is remote eligible will state ‘Remote’ in the job title.
