Capital One UK Named One of the Top Graduate Employers in the Country

Following the recent special broadcast of The Times Graduate Recruitment Awards 2020, Capital One is delighted to confirm that the company has been named as one of the UK's leading graduate recruiters. Capital One has been voted in as a new entry and is ranked at number 83 in The 22nd annual edition of Times Top 100 Graduate Employers for 2020. 

The new rankings have been compiled from research with 19,863 final year students from thirty-four top universities, who were interviewed last month by High Fliers Research for The UK Graduate Careers Survey 2020. Finalists were asked the open-ended question 'Which employer do you think offers the best opportunities for graduates?'. 

The award winning place to work has a large focus on recruiting technology graduates, welcoming around 60 graduates, interns and placement students each year. And with tech jobs seeing a strong recovery in the UK, demand is growing, making a graduate programme within the tech space more appealing than ever right now.  

This award is not the only testament to the company’s early careers programmes; offering internships and placements in finance and information technology, Capital One UK has a 9.2/10 rating on Rate My Placement. Candidates took the time to praise their experiences, rating highly on aspects such as feeling valued by colleagues, investment in personal training and development, and the level of responsibility. 

The company’s 10 week summer Intern programme, XPLORE, also ranked 2nd in the NUE (National Undergraduate Employability) Top 100 Employers table run by Rate My Placement earlier this year, too. This particular award is based solely on reviews submitted to Rate my Placement by students who have completed Intern programmes with the UK’s best employers.  

Capital One also picked up the accolade for the Graduate Recruitment Marketing Awards 2020 for Best Website. The website was hugely popular with students who felt the imagery, tone and structure helped to bring to life a career at Capital One.
