Senior Software Developer in Test - Mobile

What you’ll do: 

  • Lead system-level quality engineering and delivery in a cross-functional mobile engineering team to deliver high quality solutions that improve outcomes for our customers
  • Lead the test approach, automated testing and where appropriate, manual testing of complex systems
  • Lead from the front when appropriate, and from behind to grow more junior engineers
  • Own stability of environments, automated tests and CI/CD tooling
  • Elevate quality and security posture of applications in the wider Outcome Team
  • Elevate quality and security posture of the Capital One Android and iOS mobile apps, working across multiple engineering teams


What we’re looking for: 

  • A hands-on technical leader with strong skills in programming and a broad background in technology. The primary languages of our mobile quality engineers are Kotlin and Swift - the ideal candidate will already be adept in these languages in the context of writing automated tests.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to read the room and adapt style to situation and audience
  • Collaborative team player who can take people both inside and outside the team on a journey, to solve significant problems
  • A desire to have proactive positive impact on people and systems

  • The cloud (AWS) and how we we use it in a highly regulated environment
  • Modern languages like Kotlin and Swift
  • Frameworks including Espresso, XCUITest, RestAssured and Gatling
