About the role
We are seeking an experienced Workforce Technology Engineering Manager with strong technical knowledge and interpersonal skills. You will manage a team of 4 engineers to deliver new technologies and technology enhancements as well as partnering with teams to manage enterprise wide changes on behalf of the UK LOB in the end user space. You must be self-motivated with a proven track record in technology. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
What you’ll do
- Manage overall operation of the team to ensure goal/objective achievement directly or through the team
- Formulate and execute UK LOB Local and Enterprise led backlog.
- Manage projects including organisation, definition, planning, implementation and control through the use of Kanban or Agile techniques.
- People leadership responsibilities including performance management and team development to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Direct team members in the design, modification, and evaluation of all phases of a specific project from definition through production and release. Ensuring deliverables meet specifications, quality, goals, cost and schedule.
- Work closely with Enterprise Product Managers, customers, applications and engineers, ensure alignment with needs of the UK LOB
- Promote use of new technologies and industry-leading trends.
- A proven leader who can lead a team to build solutions from start to finish.
- Demonstrate ability to translate business needs into a technical vision and product development roadmap.
- Technical depth and breadth of experience to help team members understand and overcome technical challenges efficiently and effectively.
What we’re looking for
- Expertise in End User Compute technologies including Windows 11, MacOS, Virtual Desktops (AWS Workspaces), Mobile, VC (preferably Zoom) and digital signage platforms.
- Technical knowledge of management tools including Intune, Jamf, Airwatch.
- Technical knowledge of Google Workspace
- People leadership experience
- Knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira and Confluence
- Effective communication with associates at all levels, both technical and non-technical.
- Stakeholder management
Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham office.
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
